With only his second release, "Mexican Joe", Jim Reeves shot to the top of the Country chart in March 1953, as did "Bimbo" at the end of the year, both also crossing over into the Pop charts. Success brought him a regular spot on the "Hayride" and then, in 1955, he became a member of Nashville’s "Grand Ole Opry". That same year, he changed labels to RCA-VICTOR, kicking off with "Yonder Comes A Sucker", which was recorded two years later in England by The Vipers as "Railroad Steamboat". But it was with sentimental ballads like "According To My Heart", "Am I Losing You" and "Anna Marie" that Jim was to really make his mark.
