Ferlin HUSKY – Feelin’ Better All Over

The contributions on this compilation, backed with his own fine band he called ‘The Hushpuppies’, more than adequately illustrate the depth of Ferlin Husky’s talent and versatility, not only as a singer but also, via Simon Crum, as an entertainer. It takes a special personality to perform songs like "Gone" with such a depth of feeling, comfortably handle the buoyant rhythm of say "I Wouldn’t Treat A Dog", and still instigate the divine comedy of imagining Roy Acuff singing Elvis Presley’s "Hound Dog". That’s real talent.
