• The Mary Kaye Trio, who hailed from Hawaii, literally invented the term "lounge act," creating an unused space at the Last Frontier Hotel in Las Vegas, and for more than two decades, throughout the 1950's and 1960's, were the most popular lounge attraction on the "Strip," opening the door for Louis Prima and others. • They also recorded prolifically for several major labels, and their albums achieved great success. • Gathered here for the very first time, however, in any format, are 31 of their rare singles, excluding any that might have been from their LP's. Recorded between 1949 and 1959, for such companies as Columbia, RCA Victor, Decca, Verve, and Warner Brothers, they offer an excellent overview of the trio's popularity, and also included is a rare radio jingle. • None of these have been heard since their original release and are all restored to pristine digital sound by Jasmine Records.
