It is said that true Flamenco can only come from the heart and through that heart some gypsy blood must flow - for Flamenco means gypsy. Carlos Montoya had it all and possessing an advanced technique, he was a true innovator and a tremendously exciting performer.

We have drawn this collection from four original LPs including two live sessions, one of which is his historic sell out 'Town Hall' concert.

Kicking off this superb 2CD set is a long and unusual rendition of 'St Louis Blues' plus four favourites from the American repertoire including, 'Rain on the Roof' and 'Blues in the Night'. Along with his renditions of classic songs there are also many of his own compositions including, 'Tarantas', 'Soleares' and the sublime 'Seguiriya'.
