Rufus Beacham was a popular R&B attraction during the early 1950s. He recorded for Bob Shad’s Sittin’ in With and JAX labels, King Records and Henry Stone’s Chart label. His fame and popularity seem to have been confined almost entirely to his home state of Florida.
Featuring his two sessions for King Records, one in 1952 with Sonny Thompson and the other in 1955 under his own name along with his 1952 Ray Charles session.
