Tennessee Ernie FORD – The Real Thing!

Real sincerity, at least as far as the entertainment industry is concerned, has always been in short supply. Few stars make it big the easy way - they often have to claw their way up, prey to all kinds of exploitation en route. No wonder that whatever the exterior facade, cynicism and distrusts reigns. That friendly voice drifting from the radio could be any kind of animal in real life, but not always. Take Ernie Ford - he radiated warmth and sincerity, and so what the humour was a bit corny, what you heard was what you got, a real nice, sincere guy.
