• THE KINGSTON TRIO were the flagship group of the US 1950s Folk-Pop boom, which they kick-started in 1958 with the release of their eponymously-titled, chart-topping, Grammy-winning, million-selling debut album.
• Their first six LPs were all million sellers, while they also clocked up an impressive run of chart singles.
• However, this compilation of classic Trio cuts, drawn from EPs issued in the United States between 1958 and 1961, steers away from their hits and instead comprises a prime selection of LP and dedicated EP sides.
• These include fans’ favourites like ‘Sloop John B’, ‘Remember The Alamo’, ‘Across The Wide Missouri’, ‘Leave My Woman Alone’, ‘Hard Travelin’’ and ‘Jesse James’, plus rarities like ‘Santy Anno’, ‘Como Se Viene, Se Va’ and ‘Sail Away Ladies’.
