The Ventures – The Jasmine EP Collection

• This collection of classic VENTURES sides, compiled from EPs issued in the US, the UK and France between 1960 and 1962, features a selection of hits, flips and album tracks.
• Virtually every major American Rock guitarist of the past fifty or so years has cited The Ventures as a major influence - even George Harrison is on record as having said he preferred them to The Shadows!
• When John Fogerty inducted them into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame in 2008, he observed “‘Walk, Don’t Run’ kicked open a whole movement in Rock & Roll. The sound of it became Surf Music, and the audacity of it empowered guitarists everywhere.”
• Although they no longer field any original members, the band’s current line-up includes long-term lead guitarist Bob Spalding, his son Ian on rhythm, and drummer Leon Taylor, son of the late Mel Taylor.
