- Nicknamed “The Metronome” as he kept a consistent beat, drummer EARL PALMER was one of the prime inventors/architects of Rock & Roll.
- One of the most prolific studio musicians of all time, he drummed on hundreds of hit records.
- After playing on just about every hit of any note recorded in New Orleans during the early/mid-50s, he relocated to the West Coast in 1957, where he became a member of the Wrecking Crew.
- He didn’t cut many records of his own but his two LPs, “Drumsville!” (1961) and “Percolator Twist” (1962), have become major collectors’ items.
- He also cut two late 1950s singles, ‘Johnny’s House Party’ and ‘Drum Village’, which appear as bonus tracks.
- This is a unique, collectors-oriented package, the first time that this body of work has been thus compiled.
